  • 3 tablespoons butter (for topping)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar (for topping)
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and stir in the apple cider; set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and apple pie spice.
  4. In another bowl, combine granulated sugar, egg, and the cider-butter mixture until well blended.
  5. Gently mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined; avoid over-mixing.
