  • ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup (120ml) milk
  • ¼ cup (60g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; then stir in diced apples.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the baking sheet with space between each fritter.
  6. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown and fragrant.
  7. Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth; drizzle over warm fritters.
