  • 5 Tablespoons unsalted butter (softened) for filling
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar (packed) for filling
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon for filling
  • 2 Tablespoon cake flour for filling
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for glaze
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon for glaze
  • 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter (melted and cooled) for glaze
  • 2 1/2 Tablespoon milk for glaze

Instructions

  1. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together cake flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture until just combined.
  3. Chill dough in the refrigerator for an hour.
  4. Prepare the filling by mixing softened butter, light brown sugar, cinnamon, and cake flour until smooth.
  5. Scoop dough portions onto a baking sheet and create wells for filling before sealing them shut.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 11-13 minutes until lightly golden.
  7. While cooling, whisk together glaze ingredients and drizzle over cookies.
