  • 1 (20 ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage (chopped)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions in boiling water until tender.
  2. While cooking, prepare the mushrooms and sage.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter and olive oil. Add chopped sage and cook until crispy, then remove from the pan.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté sliced mushrooms and minced garlic with another tablespoon of butter until golden brown.
  5. Drain the tortellini and combine it with sautéed mushrooms, remaining butter, parmesan cheese, and crispy sage. Mix well and season with salt and pepper before serving.
