  • 2 cups (4 sticks / 454 g) unsalted butter
  • 2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 cups (336 g) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (109 g) finely chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Prepare a large rimmed baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium, heavy-bottom saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter and sugar. Stir continuously until the mixture reaches 285°F on a candy thermometer and turns dark amber.
  3. Pour the hot mixture onto the lined baking sheet. After letting it sit for 1-2 minutes, sprinkle chocolate chips on top and spread them into an even layer.
  4. Add finely chopped pecans on top of the melted chocolate and press them in lightly.
  5. Allow the toffee to cool at room temperature for about an hour until set.
  6. Once cooled, break into pieces and enjoy! Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
