  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until coarse crumbs form. Press evenly into an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. In another bowl, mix sliced apples with granulated sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Pour over the crust and spread evenly.
  3. Bake for about 40 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  4. Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares.
